Well facilited cozy beach, which was clean, a perfect place to snorkel around the rocks, wirh a lot of outstanding restaurants in the promenade.

The place, I need to spend some time every year. Incredible sea and sand. Perfect taverns nearby, good hotels around also, great farmers market and supermarkets near also. Everything You need for a good vacation.

Very nice beach very close to the Chania City Centre. Several good tavernas lining the beach. Sun beds for rent

We stayed in Chania and visited this long stretch of beach often. White sand, clear water. Sun loungers are €10 for 2. There is a lifeguard on one section of it. Overall very nice beach!

Busy beach with lots of bars and restaurants along it... 10 euros gets you two spots on a chair under an umbrella... nice beach... but busy.

The beaches here are fine for families and general use. For my personal tastes there are much better destination beaches. For a quick stop in Chania, this beach and area is fine.

Just a short walk from the old town area. A long quiet beach. Lots of sand, no need for water shoes. Lots of umbrellas. We used one that is part of a restaurant and if you have their meal, umbrella is free. You can eat at your umbrella or at the table.

Best beach in Chania! Be sure to visit Woodstock restaurant, delicious food an amazing spot. Make sure to swim!

This is a decent urban beach - definitely worth a visit. We spent two lovely afternoons relaxing here, and it’s only a 15-minute walk from Chania Old Town. We managed a quick swim in the sea in May, but it was pretty cold. There are some nice seafood restaurants along the seafront too.

Nice local beach with swimming. There are some rocks and small island you can see from the beach. Feels very local and family friendly.

Are there jellyfish in the water?

I've never seen or heard of jellyfish in that area. Although, beware of dragon fish if you're down in Kalyves and soak your foot in hot water for the sting, NOT cold water. If you have surf shoes, or slide your feet instead of stomping when going in or out....you'll be fine.

Si, nelle immediate adiacenze o alla peggio, nei pressi delle mura veneziane (al massimo 10 minuti a piedi). E, in Grecia, paese a bassa avidità (contrariamente all'italia), il parcheggio a pagamento non è ancora una certezza ubiqua. (solitamente, c'è solo all'interno dei centri cittadini e per alcune spiagge, particolarmente rinomate)

Hi I am going on a cruise and it call into Chania I visited last year so I have wondered around the city before would like to go to the beach this time can anyone give me directions to the beach at Neo Chora hopefully the weather will be good

To get to the beach in Nea Chora just walk along water front from the harbour starting from the Nautical Museum side and just follow the water front and takes 10 mins. Nice part of Chania and great tavernas. The bar and restaurant around the little harbour area of fishing boats is good for food and drink. Enjoy.
