After a couple of weeks in Greece, as someone else said: ” I was marbled out” and it was a warm afternoon. So what to do? Go to an automobile museum. This is more of a private collection/temple of cars than a museum but what a collection. There is a nice cross section from the start of the 1900s to the 80/90s. Bothe North American and European . It is hard to pick a favourite, but the Ferrari Dino and the E Type were highlights for sure. If you are a car enthusiast, it is well worth the 10 Euro entrance fee. Miltos is a real trove of knowledge and what we learned from him during the tour was fascinating. While the museum is not that large, the selection of exhibits and the overall layout are really nice including same cars that are truly unique and hard to come by in Greece. We saw this museum in a local guide, being a huge car nut and motorsport participant my initial thoughts were why would a motor museum in Greece, which as a nation has made very few cars, be worthwhile? Well on our last day we a few hours left and the museum was just around the corner from our hotel (Radisson Blu) we paid it a visit and enjoyed every minute!
The collection is amazing and the cars are all pristinely kept along with all the information on each car, which even I learnt a few new facts on! The cars range from British, American, French, German, of course Italian and some other far off nations. If there was one thing missing, I'd have to say a modern day supercar just to finish the generational walk through all the era's.
If you like cars and a bit of history along with facts and figures, an hour or two here will be a highlight on your visit to Athens.

Don’t let the entrance to mislead you, take the elevator up and you’ll find the museum.
We arrived and we were sure the building is abandoned however we decided to check although it doesn’t looked promising ( dark, dirty, escalators doesn’t work) and we found the entrance.
Once you’re in the museum it’s amazing, a huge collection of cars!!!
Different types, models, sizes, from different years. All cars reserved.
The museum is clean and you’ll find explanations about everything.
We had a great time, it was surprising and fun.
Highly recommended to visit, excellent museum for few hours for couples, families, individuals.
Thanks!

The museum is not large, 3 exhibition halls are not particularly large, each hall on a separate floor. There are cars from the 1930s to the late 1960s. The entire tour of the display takes about an hour, but it's still very interesting. Those who like retro vehicles, in my opinion, should visit the place.

My husband was not interested in one more historical museum so this hit the spot. Fascinating building and displays. We have been to auto museums in the US so one with a European flare was interesting. Even the tire-lined spiral walkway up to (or down from) the 4th floor entry to the museum was fascinating. The staff was pleasant and helpful and even recommended a great restaurant for lunch. (Rosalia)

I have visited the Museum as part of corporate events, unfortunately due to the conditions I was not able to tour it as I would have liked. Now that my kids are grown, we've gone several times for different reasons. The collection is simply impressive. Every object hides a huge history from the owner to the factory that made it or the designer that inspired it. Almost all of the evolution of motoring marches before us, slowly at a pace we can process. The museum houses some vehicles for which friends of my generation have a special soft spot as we have admired them moving in their natural environment, on the Athenian streets. In my humble opinion, even if you're not that much of a four-wheeler, perhaps a visit to the oozing personal taste space will give you some food for thought.

This place is just amazing and totally worth visiting (it’s a bit off the tourist path - about 15-20 minutes to walk from old parliament). So many stunning historical cars going back to the 1920’s through to the 1970’s (about a 100 in all). Couldn’t stop taking photos and so many came with the history of the car itself. Beautiful old Bentleys, Porsches, Lamborghini’s etc. Spread out over 3 levels it’s a real must do experience (and I’m not a car person either). So glad we made the effort.

The interior design is amazing! You will see a lot of different car models and you can even sit in one of them, located in the entrance. Person of any age will enjoy going in there. Especially the ones who really love cars.

We had some extra free time in Athens, and decided to give this museum a try. It’s on three floors of an old building in Athens. It is a private collection with some of the strangest looking autos I’ve ever seen. If you’re a bit of a car nut, it’s well worth the visit.
