This museum was okay, but skip if you don't have time. There were many good examples in this collection, but you can see similar stuff in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. Although, admission is free for students and it is included in the bundle...More

Famous, as it is the 4th more important in the world. The building nice and historical. My opinion is that it needs much improovment but it remains fantastic in its kind

The building was the house of thefamous archaiologist Henry Sleeman. Today is a great museum about the numismatic history of Greece and all Mediteranean sea. Great !

The garden cafe is indeed delightful and Schliemann's house is beautiful with the decorated ceilings, the mosaic marble floors and its elegance. It is interesting to see the well developed coin making skills of the Ancient civilisations.

Closed on Mondays. Costs 3euros entrance fee. Located on the famous Panepistimiou Street no. 12! Museum is house in the iliou Melathron, former residence of Heinrich Schliemann, the renowned excavator of ancient Troy!

My husband enjoyed the coin collection much more than I did. But, I was greatly impressed with the number of coins! The courtyard is beautiful, as is the home itself.

Even if you are not interested in monetary history this museum has the best garden coffee shop in the area
