Just as spectacular as you imagine! Go during sundown for the most beautiful pictures. The lighting is just breathtaking. It can get super busy, but it’s understandable. Feels like you’re walking through a set.

We visited in the off-season, but after an early morning rain shower, headed out to explore. The Acropolis is lovelier than I’d imagined, but small crowds certainly add to the appeal. The light was amazing, and little snippets of history kept us engaged. Definitely worth...More

We used a prettied audio guide and got a lot out of seeing the Acropolis. Then went down to the Agora on the way back to the hotel (A for Athens).

Well worth getting there early before the crowds so your photos are not filled with other tourists. Lovely just to sit and take in the scene and image what Ancient Greece was like.

To some, it may just seem like a series of columns. But it's way beyond that. Your entire experience depends heavily on the guide you get - and we got lucky with that. Just be prepared for a climb, wear good shoes and stay hydrated....More

It's quite the hike up to the parthenon, so wear comfortable shoes. At first, there was a huge line to gain tickets, which probably would've taken an hour or two. However, we discovered there is a group ticket that gets you into about seven historical...More

€20 or €30 for a combined ticket, where you can also visit Hadrian’s Library, Temple of Olympian Zeus, The Ancient Agora of Athens and a couple more. Hope this helps.
