To go to Athens and not go to the Acropolis and Parthenon is not to see Athens at all. Go and be a tourist it is why you travelled to Athens.

A real bucket list item for me this one as it is for most people surely. it is utterly incredible and no superlative will do it justice, it simply has to be seen to be believed. The Propylaia at the entrance is an impressive start,...More

You feel that you walk along with the ancient Greeks several thousand years ago. No need for many words. With your family or with your partner or by your self, this is a place that you have to go at least once in your life.

We visited the Acropolis during a beautiful sunny day. It was a short fun walk from our apartment (We staid on the ground floor of 1934 Apartments) just next to the National Archaeological museum of Greece. The Acropolis is one of the most beautiful historical...More

I do believe February was the best month to visit this ancient historic site. Place was busy but not too busy to enjoy it. We loved it and took whole bunch of pictures as a memory.

My wife and I visited the Acropolis yesterday. Since we are senior citizens, the climb took us a while but it was worth every moment. The Acropolis is located on one of the highest hills of Athens and gives a commanding view of the City....More

Very happy to visit this site. It's worth it! It's just amazing! No one should leave Athens without visiting this but make sure to wear comfortable shoes when going up the hill and make sure not to touch the marbles!

When you are here, you are going to be touched by the feeling of the ancient. Perhaps you would have a clearly mind of how the Greek Gods and goddesses control their world.

I'm not sure what I could say about the Acropolis that would be any different than other reviews, but it's incredible! We walked up from our hotel (we stayed at Plaka Hotel). It was a pretty steep walk up (obviously considering the location). We wandered...More

Visiting in February there weren't the hoards I've heard about during the peak tourist months. Instead it was a relaxed and interesting place to go. In fact I'd say it's a must-visit destination if you're in Athens. But I'd definitely recommend visiting it with someone...More

Go a bit early and get them at the entrance. The line moves quickly. I don't believe there is a way to purchase them online. Wear comfortable sturdy shoes and enjoy your day!
