The Acropolis is the beacon of Athens. Seeing it up high as you turn a corner in the street, whether day or night, makes you breathless every time you see it. Up close it is one of the most magnificent sites in the world

Despite starting early in the morning, the stairs and lines for entrance are formidable. Lots of people of all ages and paces stop to take photos along the way. Reconstruction is always ongoing, yet the experience to see the Parthenon and temple is just exhilarating.

Lovely hike to the Acropolis, although it would be tough if you have problems with hiking. Beautiful view of the city. Not picture perfect though, because there are cranes around, as they are restoring the Panthenon, and the crowds are massive. Still, worth every second...More

We hiked up from our hotel about 30 minutes which was a lovely walk. Make sure to get there for the open. The crowds build very quickly and it can be very hot. The marble can be slippery so be careful. There was one water...More

There is no doubt how important is Acropolis in human history, but I'm really dissapointed with tretman of local Administration against this world heritage, and against people who are visiting old stones. Two big cranes are there more than ten years, and doing what? Moving...More

So easy and accessible to all... Don't waste your time with promises of skipping the queue when it is easy enough to do this on your own. I would however suggest a guide if you don't have an audio tour installed on your phone. Worth...More

5 min walk up. €20 a person. Go before the tour bus at 10am. It can be slippery so use sneakers. Stunning view from the top. The sights, simply amazing.

Go a bit early and get them at the entrance. The line moves quickly. I don't believe there is a way to purchase them online. Wear comfortable sturdy shoes and enjoy your day!
