Dora Stratou is a historical theatre located at a perfect place. Near Acropolis, among trees, a person can enjoy a show of top Greek dancers, in a concept realistic. Price is fine, nobody should miss it.

The venue is great and is a real treat to be outside. The show was about 100 mins long and never really progressed past the patterns and rhythms of the first dance. Unless you have a prior understand of Greek tradition dancing, you may well...More

Last night we spent our last night in Athens at this Greek dance show. We found it hard to find and arrived late as a result. There are dark sections on the pathway through the gardens which were a bit creepy. We almost gave up...More

Your negative review of Dora Stratou - did it by any chance concern the dance which I think is called "Mechanikos", or similar. It alternates between the central dancer remembering how he danced as a young man, and - crippled by the bends - how he can no longer dance.... I find it uncomfortable & harsh, but realistic - almost a "Health & Safety" warning. And sensibilities then were not what they are now - do we have to "censor " traditional dance.... OK. we no longer sing racist songs about (excue the word) "n*gg*rs" - but the Greeks were dealing with their own folk within the community, & I sees ome difference there...
