A quaint religious hillock near Deogarh. Can be clubbed with a day's sightseeing to Baba Basukinath Temple.
Ropeway is not operational post the accident.
Guides and photographers pester tourists.
Availing services of a guide is preferable to understand the rich ancient history of the temples.A small climb up the hill leafs to various temples with vast significance dating back to Ramayana.
You can find raw Rudraksha beads being sold , which can be chosen and is given after cleaning.
There is a major monkey menace all around.Monkey feeds are sold alongwith a plethora of shops selling different things all along the climb.

Its a hillock kind of thing. Though little far from main temple or city yet it can be reached easily. There is a ropeway service which takes you from the base of the hillock to the hilltop. But unfortunately the time we went the service was temporarily suspended. You can have a nice view of the city once over the hilltop. There are some tea stalls and cameramen available there. There are some funrides available for kids as well. However, the biggest threat there is of the monkeys.

Go when the weather is good. If going by own car then not a problem. Else negotiate round trip with rental auto or car. Carry your water bottle & little snacks, couple of hours is sufficient.

Very beautiful place ..U can climb this hill by foot but if u want to go to the top of the hill, u must take the rope way ride. Both way they take 100/- per head. On the whole it was a good place. Be aware of 'bandar' (Langur). Dont take any food items and packets in ur hand. U can hire guide but not needed.

About my trip to Trikut Pahar, Deoghar
After having darshan of Baba Baidyanath , we went by cab to Trikutachal Mandir located on Trikuta hills. The place is nearly fifteen kms from Deoghar. There is a ropeway facility to go up to the top of the hill. As soon as we got down from the car, we have to climb a long stretch of steps. There are many trees on both sides crowded with monkeys. So we have to be very cautious with our belongings. A young lad introduced himself as a guide to show us all the places. We have to pay Rs.60/- per each person to avail the ropeway ride. Trikuta pahar consists of three hills and the maximum height is nearly 2470 feet. The ropeway ride is very enjoyable as you can view the huge rocks filled with trees and forest plants, deep valleys and hill streams. It took nearly 20 minutes to reach the top. The young lad showed us a cave temple with an ochre-colored idol of Hanuman. The monkey-lord was said to have taken rest at this spot for some time. Later there was no proper path for moving onward. But the young guide helped us to move on the uneven way filled with huge rocks and shrubs. After climbing a few boulders we reached a huge flat rocky mound. Here Ravana was said to have descended from his Pushpak Viman and do penance. After going up some distance he showed us a round pit in the stone where Sita was said to have lighted lamps and worshipped Shiva. The guide clicked some photos and asked us to select some photos as keepsake. Even on such a bare hilly area we found food stalls and a mini studio to process photos. Further the way became very difficult and steep. The guide literally lifted me up the rocks to view a huge rock called “Vishnu Shila” or Saligrama Shila. People have to crawl beneath the rock and it is said that their wishes will be fulfilled. But I did not venture to do it as the gap under the rock is very narrow. From here we can have a panoramic view of hills and the town beneath. But the climb is very risky and old people better avoid this adventure. The young guide did not show us Trikuteshwar Mahadev Temple and Bhagavthi temple. A sadhu called Bhum Bhum Baba used to do penance here on these. Hills. We were not shown that spot also. The young guide just showed a forest of sacred Bhel trees and apple wood trees that flourish in this place. So this place is suitable only for adventurous trekking by young people. Elders can enjoy the ropeway ride and see a few temples but should not undertake the risk of climbing steep hills. The Govt. should build steps at steep places, provide safety measures and erect sign boards so that pilgrims may visit this place without any inconvenience. Only licenced persons should be given permission to act as guides.

The only attraction to this place is the top way which charges 100 per person both up n down, with Time limit of 1 hr. Nice experience n when u see the deoghar from a height of 400 mtrs it is worth paying. At the hill top there is nothing much but the stones trees n kind of caves. Yes u do get refreshment up on the hill but charged extra premium. We took a guide who narrated all the miths stories n history related to ravana, sita, hanuman, jatayu............. But yes it is advised to take guide or else u will be clueless about everything. Even if u are not religious do visit for the ropeway. It is lil far from the city so take the auto for entire city tour at an approx 600-700 rs this will lasts for half a day. Njoi.....

it is almost 15 km from baidyanathdham. we take an auto for a contract to view Trikut Pahar, Tapoban, balananda temple, sat sang, nandan pahar @500/-.On our way in some places roads were cut due to some unkwown reasons. At last our auto reached the base of the trikut pahar. just we got down there were so many monkeys to greet you. Be careful if you have any big carry bag or hand bag.it could be snatch by them,as they might thought there is food inside the bag.
After few steps walking, we took rope way ticket @ Rs 80/- per head. in one cabin only four persons can sit.
After 8 minuets of ropeway travel we reached trikut hilltop where one can stay only one hour.
there are a few tea stalls, cameramen where people drink tea and take their snaps.
from this hill top we saw scenic view.
then we returned down by ropeway.
The ropeway is closed at 4 o' clock afternoon.

I have visited trikut hills very recently with my family ...it is quite far from Deoghar ..takes more than one hour to reach..auto rickshaw will take around 600 rs for both side.. ropeway is the only attraction I found therefore ..130 rs + gst is charged per head for up down valid for 1 hour.. tickets can be purchased from 8 am to 3.30 pm sharp..guides would insist to hire them for 200 rs per group ..they also claim that 6 places r there on the top of the hills to see..but what I found is nothing of that much importance also the place is full of monkeys who fix their eyes on eatables though do not make harm to tourists..long queue for riding ropeway; so it takes almost 2/3 hours to complete the visit of trikut hills ..barren hills full of big chunks of stones ..stiff slopes & stairs.. difficult for aged person or people who have heart & lungh problem.

this place is 30 mnts away from deoghar town. The place is full with monkeys. You need to be a bit careful with them and should not take any food items in hand. there is four five small temple at the foot hills. You need to take a ropeway to get on top of the hill.
