It’s a nice and excellent marina, the receptionist is so nice and warm welcome. The dock man and operation teams are professional worker with good customer support and fully with experiences. Hope I will have a chance to go back to this place again soon.

Visited RPM for a boat trip. It's very pleasant with impressive yachts in the marina and nice houses around the water's edge. There's a cafe, toilets, small businesses - but why oh why is the only sunscreen sold just Factor 15?

This is the first time i have travelled to Phuket Island and many famous destinations around such as Phi Phi Island, Phang Nga Bay, Maya bay, James Bond Island and so on... i have to say that this is such a wonderful trip that have made at the beginning of the year 2023. i could see breathtaking views, enjoy exceptional service at the Royal Phuket Marina since the staff there were so hospitable and willing to help visitors.
Just a few minuses here are that the toilet area at the Maya Bay was overcrowded and water was insufficient to use.
To sum up, i have enjoyment from this trip and if given opportunities, i will come back again. Thanks <3

We went to royal phuket marina to board our boat for phi phi island trip. The place has restaurant, apartments for rent also. It is around half an hour drive from patong. Hence, away from the crowded space of phuket. Plenty of toilets in marina which are neat and clean. Overall, well maintained.

We would like to thank very much all the staff of this great Marina and especially Ben the General Manager.
They take care of us like VIP customer regarding our venue and our jets skis.
We had all facilities for preparing our jets skis before going water.
Very efficient and skill people.
Let's enjoy Phuket on jet ski and thank again to RPM for this great opportunity

We had already been to see James Bond Island up north on a bit of a dodgy tour so weren't quite sure what to expect from this one. But when we arrived at the marina we realized immediately that the tour was going to be run professionally. They greeted us with coffee and tea and gave us time to get changed before a muster meeting to discuss safety etc. There were probably only 30 people on the tour so it wasn't too busy which was nice. We were taken by speed boat out to Monkey Beach, Phi Phi Le and Phi Phi Don Islands. We did lots of snorkling and had plenty of time to play. Lunch was provided on Phi Phi Don and was the only disappointing thing about the whole tour as it was yucky and I refused to eat it. However, the tour staff also provided fruit, drinks and snacks on board so it was ok.
We had access to the beach and the resort pool at Phi Phi Don so that was nice. The staff on the tour were fabulous: friendly, funny, playful but above all, professional. We really felt welcome and we had confidence that they knew what they were doing and had our safety foremost in mind. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to spend a great day out exploring the islands around the East coast of Phuket.

Upon arrival at the SeaStar reception at the Royal Phuket Marina there was a selection of complementary water, tea, coffee, toast and biscuits, which was very welcome, considering our 7am start from Khao Lak. There was also a free supply of travel sickness pills.
Flippers were for rent at 100 baht.
There then followed a talk about the days itinerary, which some guests could not hear, as the reception wasn't large enough to accommodate.
On the day we traveled there were 5 large speed boats each carrying about 45 passengers.
We departed the very plush Royal Phuket Marina and headed south to Phi-Phi. The sea wasn't that rough, but the ride was very harsh at times due to us riding in the bow section. This took about 1 hour.
First stop was to feed the monkeys on Phi-Phi Don and then sail for a couple of minutes to do some snorkeling.
A further short sail to Ton Sai bay for 1 hour lunch.
After lunch a quick look at the Viking cave on Phi-Phi Leh it was about 5 mins. sail for a swim in Phi Leh lagoon.
After this there was a 15 min. journey to Maya Bay (famous for "The Beach").
We then set sail for Khai island. This took about 45mins.
Khai Island stop over was about 1 1/2 hrs.
The final part of the trip retuned us to the marina, taking about 20mins.
The good:-
Maya Bay is stunning.
The snorkeling is great for seeing the fish and coral.
Crystal clear waters.
The tour guide and boat staff.
Plentyfull supply of snacks and drinks on the boat.
The bad:-
On the boat you have the choice of the spine shattering bow seats or the under cover area with the smell of vomit from other passengers.
Ton Sai bay fills up quickly with trip boats and soon looks like a marina, not a beach.
Lunch was very average.
The ice cream and photo sellers won't leave you alone on Khai island.The 1 1/2 hour stop at khai island was too long in my opinion.It had been a long day and I would have been happy with a shorter stay.
The ugly:-
The toilets on Khai island are disgusting and they charge you 20 baht for the privilege and you can't even wash your hands! Thank goodness for alcohol gel!!!!!!!!
Drinks and food on Khai island are a rip off, even by UK prices.
~~~~~~~~
Overall the trip was enjoyable and we wouldn't have missed the amazing sites we saw.
When you enter Royal Phuket Marina, it is like entering Saint Tropez, except for the fact that there is absolutely no people and everything is closed. Could be a scene from the "walking dead", except there is no zombies either. Don't go there, unless your yact is parked in the marina, it is a waste of time:)
Dear Anne DN,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Tripadvisor. Comparing the marina to the walking dead is interesting, as the only similarity we see is the fact both have been nominated for a host of awards. But you are correct as there are no Zombies here, which is great news. We would like to know when and what time of day or night did you visit the marina as you mention that everything is closed? We have many private offices located at Royal Phuket Marina and yes they are closed to the public, such as Booking.com and Marriott, but our 5 restaurants and 3 bars are all open daily. Your opinion that it is a waste of time is rather unfair, as many people enjoy strolling along the boardwalk and enjoying the relaxed, yet “Saint Tropez” style atmosphere. You should come back and enjoy one of the many live bands we have, comedy nights, and plus we are home to the largest Boat Show in Thailand.
Thank you again for taking the time to review us.
Best Wishes
Jay
Hi, Myself and my wife are flying in to Phuket International Airport and we land at 220pm in the afternoon, are there any services still running or available to be booked privately to get us to Phi Phi that afternoon? Would be looking to leave the marina at around 4pm. Thanks
I don´t know exactly because we booked our trip from marina in hotel, maybe on the airport are some travel agencies which offer that service.
Hi! We currently reside at the RPM and would like a trip to Phi Phi Don after 13th of February. Are there any possibilities to book a boat transportation to there and back without tours (just transportation)? 4 adults and 2 children (14 and 8 yo). Thanks!
Is there any way to charter a boat to take us to Koh Yao Noi after 16:00? Our Simba Sea Trip comes in at 16:00 and we would like to go straight from the Royal Marina to our hotel on Yao Noi!
Hi we are going to rent a bareboat monohull 48ft with 1,7mt draft and planning to spend the night of the 12th or 13th of February 2018 (depending on the embarkation time on the 12th) in Royal Phuket Marina. We will get the boat from yacht haven and then sail down to. Could you let me know if there is a wet berth available and sharing some hints about what would be the best time to arrive (in order to plan properly in respects of the tides) and costs?
Many thanks
Antonio
Hello!
We are planning to take Phang Nga tour with Simba Sea travel. Considering to come with our own car.
Is there is any parking around? And is it safe? )
Where is the best place to leave the car for about 9 hours?
Thank you
Hi there.
We have ample parking at the marina, both above and below ground.
You can park right behind the Simba office in the main parking area. The signs will guide you there.
Hi, could you tell me about your boat trip to Phi Phi...how long did it take, what type of boat and were the seas rough? I would love to go there but a bit of a nervous sailor! Thanks.
Written 23 October 2016
Hi, we took the larger speedboat with several motors. It took about an hour approx to get out there. The speedboats can get into areas others can't too see much more of the various parts of the islands.
I took sea travel tablets as I can get a bit sea sick at times. But would have had no trouble on this trip. As for how rough it would all depend on the seas that day. We had a few bumpy bits but not too bad. The staff on the boats are very helpful and amusing at times, which always helps.
You could always check to see what seas are going to be like and them make booking. We have done this on a couple of occasions when taking trips out to the Great Barrier reef, and preferred to take trips when weather is a little calmer.
Hope you manage to take the trip is well worth it, very beautiful out there. And if you take the ferry type boats, the trip takes longer apparently.
