We came across Muro de Azulejos by accident as we were walking and were taken in by the stories the pictures told. We felt compelled to view every picture and marvelled at it's presentation. Well worth a visit.

Worth a view if you are in the area otherwise may not be worth going out of your way . Depicts the history of Povoa De Varzim in ceramic tiles. The wall is opposite the casino.

Shipbuilders, seafarers, fisherman, politician, the shore line to the Atlantic Ocean. Picture says more than a thousand words. And these pictures are on a wall. Beside the wall you can also take a stroll along the beach. Enjoyable!

These tiles are very much worth seeing. The Portuguese are proud of their relationship with the ocean and fishing tradition and this is so very much representative of that history and pride.
