Inexpensive mode of transportation. Get rechargeable card so you don’t have to look for change each time you ride. Metro runs more frequent during commute hours. Must validate card before getting to platform.

So much better and faster than taxis. The Porto metro is very nice, clean and safe. The automated machines are easy to use. Best mode of transportation in Porto!

It is so nice that the Metro in Porto works like it should. The price is reasonable and the trains are quite nice.

This is the subway system used in the Porto city. It's a good alternative to taxis and buses and a lot cheaper.

To be honest, I have no idea. Requiring payment after such long time seems steep. Would contact Metro HQ and put question to them. Good luck
