This place is very close to Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. It's the perfect start for a walk along the ocean or towards the center of Porto.

The sea can be a bit fresh, but the sand is clean and there are some rocks as well. Lovely promenade where you can walk, cycle or run about 15 km along the coast from the bridge in the centre of Porto down to Espinho....More

We went because there's a direct bus from Porto city center to here. It's not necessarily the best beach, but the view of the ocean is stunning, worth a trip!
