Lovely views of Porto with a nice atmosphere. There was a busker playing music when I was there which added to the 'moment'. Worth a stop.

There are two ways to get to this very impressive lookout, via the many stairs from the bottom, or from the top near the twin churches, we did both, the view is amazing especially at night, during our many visits, there was a really good buska, (just adds to the vibe to the place) entertaining the crowds,

The view is what it is all about, that and no tight steps in a tower. Loads of room even when it gets busy. You can see the river and most of the town.

We stayed very near here and walked past this area many times. We also lingered here and took photos of the splendid views of the old town and the river. This is one of the best view points in town.

We rented an apartment very close to here, so we passed this lovely viewpoint many times. It was often busy with lots of folks thoroughly enjoying the spectacular views of the whole region. One of the best places to get a perspective on Porto.

Contrary to the capital, Porto doesn't have so much Miradouros, but this one is just perfect.
It is set some 10 min walking downhill from the famous Clerigos tower and Church. Therefore, no need to climb the tower, pay for it and wait in lines.
Miradouro da Vitoria is a wide plateau and there're no crowds and is of course free.

Yes this Miradouro is one of the best in Porto for its views and you will not be disappointed by the photo opportunities it provides. And also you will experience some of the fantastic narrow streets of old Porto to find it. But as Miradouro’s go it’s a bit shabby, being just a large concrete platform with no facilities ( bars or cafes) in an area still containing several derelict buildings. I’m sure that will change as the renovation of Old Porto continues but in the meantime for a spot to view the setting sun of an evening
I would recommend Passeio das Virtudes to the west of the Old Town with its tree shaded green space and bars, restaurants and cafes.

The views from way up here on the hill are superb. People gather here to pause, enjoy, and of course take some photos. One of the best perspectives on the city and the region.

We reached this stunning viewpoint during part of our free Sandeman Walking Tour of Porto and what a wonderful spot to take in the sweeping views over the rooftops and down towards the river Douro.
We were told by our guide that this formed part of the old Jewish quarter. While in a dilapidated and uncared-for setting, this only added to the charm. Fortunately it wasn't crowded during our visit and when we returned later on during our stay it was even less busy.
