Must do before the Tower

The chapel, laying next to the amazing Clerigos tower, is definitely worth to watch before climbing the tower.

The church occupies the lower floors of dos Clerigos Tower. The place is very interesting to show the vistors the wood carving objects, the uniforms of clericks and paintings of daily life in Porto in old times.

Attached to the Clerigos Tower, the Church of Sao Pedro is a beautiful jewel box of a cathedral, and a lovely place to grab a few minutes of reflection. Walk through the chapel to the robing room and on to the gift shop.

Not only a great place to see...the best surprise was they play the church organ each day and it's a fantastic place with a circle structure to maximise the listening experience!

Great for the views, but I was not expecting to tour a beautiful church. I enjoyed this more than others that had a higher profile.

This place has to be visited in the same time than the clerigos tower. Architecture is so nice and you can walk up along th two sides of the Church to have a view of th choir.

The interior of this church is absolutely stunning the intricate detail throughout has to be seen. The ticket also gives access to the cloisters which has many empty graves which can be a bit spooky.

This small church is quite charming and free to get in. There is not an awful lot to see but is worth popping in if you are by the Tower de Clergios - which makes a charge for entrance - or on your way to the Lello bookshop.

The cost of entry was only 3 Euro and we stayed about 2 hours, good value. The views of Porto are fantastic from the tower and the museum was very interesting. We also continued into the beautiful church and observed a christening from the upper level. It is a delightful place to visit if you are happy to climb lots... More
