An 18th Century church was built by Nicolau Nasoni in a baroque style. Iwas one of the first baroque churches in Portugal to adopt a typical baroque elliptic floorplan. The main altarpiece is made of polychromed marble. I strongly suggest to go up to the...More

The exterior is quite impressive and different than most Portuguese cathedrals. If you have a chance, drop by to check it out. The interior church portion is free, but is not notable. The tower portion has a charge to climb it.

Well worth a look in here, even if you cannot go up the tower. The latter does include a museum though, but all writings/explanation is in Portuguese and I didn't find translations into any other language. The church itself is beautiful.

This was a surprising visit for us. You can walk free around the church even in the high choire. The tower against the church is also worth to visit

This bookstore is a must-see. To enter, you must buy a ticket for 4 Euros, which is refunded if you make a purchase. It was really crowded with people taking photos, some not so thoughtful about other people--standing in prime spots and taking multiple photos...More

we thought €5 each was expensive as a entrance fee. It is short experience but the church and vaults were worth seeing.
