50 minute cruise to see the sites of Porto and Gaia from the river. Audioguide was very good and gave us a better appreciation of what we saw and the history of the river.

We took the one hour 6 bridge cruise (blue and yellow boat) from this company. The cruise itself was nice and scenic, and we enjoyed ourselves. However, about an hour after the cruise I discovered I had lost my wallet. I retraced my steps - not really expecting to ever see the wallet again, but when I got back to... More

I went on a SAGA holiday 12th-19th May. I knew the weather in Portugal had been awful prior to my trip but knew it was due to change for the better on my arrival. Saga called me 2 days before to let me know that there was no sailing due to high water levels but they were hopeful sailing would... More

This company offers tours of different lengths though we took the 45 minute tour between Oporto and Nova Gaia. It was spectacular. They provide headphones and when you are plugged in you have a choice of about 17 different languages from which to choose. The narration describes what you are cruising past. A most enjoyable experience!

On our recent visit to Porto, we had the advantage of some very benign weather. This allowed us to purchase a 2 day pass on BlueBus to include 3 features. Unlimited travel on their open top bus (others are available), a river sightseeing trip from the Gaia waterfront, and an hour long visit to the port cellar of Calem. All... More

We booked this trip through the Information Office & paid our 60 euros (cash only). 0800 meeting and we departed very promptly. Breakfast was a croissant & fresh bread roll with butter & jam. Perfectly adequate. Am told the coffee was appalling but am not a coffee drinker. Seats inside & out and we settled in for the journey. intermittent... More

Just come back from a Saga cruise on the River Douro. Scenery was lovely with the changing colours of the vines making it even more spectacular. The week was packed full of excursions and we were offered port wine almost everywhere we went! The courier, Tiago, was exceptional. The best we have ever encountered. The ship was definitely period, very... More

Me and my three little children jumped into this bus with the aim of doing some sightseeing and reaching the Porto beach. We sat on the last row of seats since I wanted to keep my kids closed to me. After more than an hour drive accross the city, seeing how the bus stopped from time to time to pick... More

Fantastic weather and scenery. Staff and principal Tour manager excellent. Poor attention to moorings with very noisy nights, barking dogs and TWO nights alongside a very noisy night club at Gaia which did not close until 0430. Totally unacceptable for a top quality and top price tour. Food moderate but by no means excellent. This spoiled and otherwise excellent experience.

The Douro River Valley is well worth the visit. (Plan to spend the whole day.) The hillsides are spectacular. We did not visit the wineries but there were plenty of signs for the wineries. We drove, which might have been a mistake just because we were not used to their road signs, lots of roundabouts and hairpin turns. We made... More
