We stop by this old historic town from Douro valley before going to Porto. This is the ancient town and has beautiful castle. The atmosphere of the city is relaxing.

Its a nice walkway in the centre of Guimaraes you can't miss it. It's very prominent with shops and restaurant at the side. There is a church at the end of the road which makes a perfect Instagram picture.

The best time to visit is in July and August because of the lighting and parties full of food and fashion sold there and children and teenagers rides. The lighting is very beautiful at night
