We loved walking around Guimaraes. So much history. Santiago de Compostela walk markers. Old buidings. Beautiful plazas. Great restaurants and cafes. Castle. Dukes Palace.

we really enjoyed visiting Guimaraes. It is very peaceful. You can wander around the small streets, discovering the different type of architecture. They have a lot of plazas (squares) where you can sit down and relax. worth a visit

If you are in the vicinity of the city for sure have to go and see it. Stroll around have a coffee and enjoy the beautiful buildings and architecture. It's impressive how different European styles are found in this city.
