Only guided tours are allowed. Tour roup was huge and guide had to speak in three languages as other guides were not available. There is not a lot to see other than the church and the nuns private room, but interesting to see.

A glimpse behind the convent walls. Lots of interesting history and a good guide who showed us round.

This is a very unprepossessing place from the outside, but inside, there are some beautiful places to visit, and the guide tells an interesting story about the history of the convent. It is well worth the steep climb up from the town.

We were taken on a tour in a small group by a delightful guide, knowledgeable and full of details. She was also keen to extend her knowledge of English so we had great fun!

The inside of the church of Santa Clara is an amazing site. The walls of the church are tiled from roof to floor and the altarpiece, made of gilded wood, is stunning. A quiet place to sit for a few moments reflection.

OK - if you like convents, you should probably visit here. If you don't you shouldn't. Its pretty simple. However, the convent is woefully underkept - EUR2 per visitor is not a lot of money - and the tour guide we had was rather depressing....More

We waited 10 minutes or so for our guide having paid our Euro2 each entry fee. The tour started with 8 English speaking visitors and a very bored guide. Soon another 2 visitors joined and after a couple of different areas more and more visitors...More
