See how they are blending the old and the young together at this surprisingly interesting monastery. Lots of fascinating history surviving because they run a delightful kindergarten on the premises.

You ring the bell for admission to a gone bye world. A series od ancient courtyards and one massive chapel, all decorated with stunning tile work of the 15, 16 17 and 18 centuries.

Lovely visit, very peaceful and calming. Worth the climb to the platform at the top of the tower, not too many steps and not steep.

Only guided tours are allowed. Tour roup was huge and guide had to speak in three languages as other guides were not available. There is not a lot to see other than the church and the nuns private room, but interesting to see.

This is a very unprepossessing place from the outside, but inside, there are some beautiful places to visit, and the guide tells an interesting story about the history of the convent. It is well worth the steep climb up from the town.

We were taken on a tour in a small group by a delightful guide, knowledgeable and full of details. She was also keen to extend her knowledge of English so we had great fun!

A steep Climb up a narrow street, a small square and a Bell ring to enter. THE guided Tour brings You in THE different cloisters, Chapels with Great decorations and azulejos, beautifull paintings and a magnificent Church. Super and absolutely top of madeira
