We had a very informative tour. Everyone had headsets which for most of the time weren’t really needed but meant you could still hear what was being said even if you dropped behind to view something. Nice to try 2 types of Madeira wine at...More

Paid for the premium tour. There is no working equipment but the excellent guide did give a very good explanation of the wine making process. The museum is quite intesting but you do not get enough time to study the exhibits in great detail. A...More

We decided not to take the tour, and instead to go directly to taste two years (5 and 10) across all four levels of sweetness. A great service is purchasing the bottles there, and picking them up at the airport as duty free.

Really enjoyed this tour. The guide was very informative and we learned a lot. Although the guide spoke good English, we also had headphones so we could hear her better, this helped my husband who is a bit deaf. Would recommend this tour.

This was a big disappointment. We have been to many cellars throughput Europe and the half-hour guided tour told us how Madeira wine is made but there is no practical working cellar and the whole tour seemed to be a marketing exercise. Just worth the...More
