Let's be honest the commentary on these type of tours is nothing special, but the views of funchal and the surrounding area are great. The town tour is interesting and informative but the real thing to see is the countryside out of the town, with...More

You can spend hours researching the open top buses in Funchal but I'd happily recommend the 3 part Yellow Bus tour. One part takes you to Camara de Lobos, the little fishing village Churchill painted. You get off here and wander around. It's a bit...More

This open bus tour with commentary has three sections: the city tour, The tour from the city to Camera de Lobos and a link from Camera to Lobos to the highest cliff in Europe which has a glass platform for you to stand on

Got the 5 day tickets so we could go back and see things on the 'hop on, hop off' facility after seeing the complete job in one go. Two routes, yellow and blue, as well as the clifftop experience from a small fishing village via...More

Although we had a car, Funchal is quite tricky to navigate and hard to park so the bus was an excellent introduction to getting around. It was really cheap and easy to use. We had a 48 hour pass

We have been visiting Madeira for many years and have seen most of the island so this time we decided to do the open top bus experience. We chose the yellow bus rather than the red one because they do a 3 in 1 ticket...More

A very relaxing and enjoyable way to see Funchal and the surrounding area. After taking the yellow tour, we took the option of the blue tour to Camara de Lobos and Cabo Girao. A very pleasant trip which gives you plenty of time to take...More

Had intended doing only the Funchal tour but for an extra 3 euros extended our ticket for another 24 hours to include the Camara de Lobos tour - we are glad we did! Commentary was good interspersed with Portuguese music. Were also able to use...More

Ticket reasonably priced .Also if you get the ticket late in the day it is still valid for the full 48 hours. Plenty of stops so you can make the most of your visit to Madeira.

15 euros for 2 days travel taking in the full length of Funchal and even further West. This was really good value for money. These hop-on-hop-off buses ran every 30mins (or more often) when we were there in February. They have a simple to follow...More

Don't think you can use ticket on public buses! Buses stop at same bus stop and didn't see anyone with a 24/48 hr pass using public buses!
