A great collection of European artefacts, furniture, and tiles. There is a lot to see and enjoy, so take your time (2 hours). Clean toilets, too.

The museum contained a huge collection of religious. Art and period furniture that was ornate. You get a feeling of how the privileged class lived in the 1930’s. there was also many rooms full of hand-painted tiles from as far back as the 15th century.

This is a very nice house, built around a courtyard and full of the items collected by its former owner Frederico de Freitas. It does not feel like a museum but like a home.
