Challenge at the end

You have a 4 hours walk in total (return included) in nice mountain environment with great views in different directions. As the complete trip is on the southern part, choose not a hot day (as we did). At the end you'll have to climb the last view meters on the steer cable to the top. Even if you don't do this exercise, you'll have a good place below the peak as well for a break.

Nice hike

You can reach Pico Grande from Curral das Freiras. There no tourists therefore I recommed it. It is quite difficult beacuse you have to climb up 1000 meters.
