If you have time and you are in Sintra try to visit it - we were lucky since there was a mass so it was open. Sao Martinho church is beautiful to see.

Simple church in the middle of Sintra, it is well maintained but has little to see. It is almost always closed. Parking is very difficult.

This is a small but picturesque church virtually right in the town center. Worth a photo but not a detour.

There is wonderful view over the Atlantic towards Cabo da Roca from Sao Martinho church square. I enjoyed the interior of the church as well and the rest of the village was charming.

Great little cosy church, just to give you an idea of how small the Sintra community was back in the days. Worth a peak of you're seeing the downtown area!
