If you are going to Cabo da Roca you will see the lighthouse. It's pretty cool especially if you like lighthouses. There are no tours and it is not open to the public though

We loved the view of the lighthouse and the stunning coastline. The day we visited it was sunny and calm and not windy at all. We started our hike there and enjoyed being able to look back at the lighthouse and the rock outcroppings.

This is the place most people would go when they visit Lisbon. It is the west most tip of the Euro-Asian continent.

We got there just before sunset. It was gorgeous. One tip is to bring a warm coat because it was extremely windy and cold, even on a sunny autumn day.

Where the land ends and sea begins. The westernmost point of European Continent. Worth the drive and spend a few hours exploring the clifs. A few minutes down the street is Praia da Ursa.

The famous lighthouse of Cabo da Roca started operation in 1772, making it the third oldest operating lighthouse on the Portuguese coast. It stands 541 feet (165 meters) above the Atlantic Ocean, at the top of a promontory that is the westernmost point of continental Europe. The lighthouse is not open to the public, so we admired from a distance. Spectacular views all around!

This lighthouse warns of the cliffs at the most western point in Europe, which was once thought to be the end of the world by the people of the continent. It is 140m from the top of the cliffs down to the sea, so don’t fall…

Very nice view. The biggest point here is that this is the Western point of continental Europe.
You can't stay for a long time here. It's very windy and after some time it will get to your nerves. Besides pictures there is really not much to do. I would categorized this place as must-see place, but with just couple of minutes stay. Loose your hair and get some cool pictures in the wind!

Cabo da Roca. the westernmost point in continental Europe. A small lighthouse located here is a historic site, one of the oldest lighthouses in Portugal and in such a beautiful area. Cabo da Roca lighthouse is a square brick tower, tiled with white tiles and attached buildings, red lantern and balcony. The lighthouse is 165 meters above sea level and is 22 meters high. Its light has a range of approximately 48 kilometers. It is ocated high above sea level and is constantly haunted by constant winds. Lovely place.
