We thought this was some sort of rundown derelict when we first stopped. Some windows are boarded up, and it clearly suffers from neglect. But as soon as you step inside, you're greeted with an amazing view. It's like one of those agate crystals: all crusty on the outside, but inside is a colorful array of beautiful gemstones. You only... More

Blue and white tiles not depicting a story. Romanesque interior. Arches and Doric and Corinthian columns. Quite a mishmash. Full of pictures too. Interesting

This is a quaint medieval church in the city. It is worth stopping in and taking a look at what this city created.

It's a beautiful church full of history. Built in the 11 hundreds, it stands the test of time (and earthquakes) ! You can actually see inside the church there is a mix of roman and gothic arches, since the structure was damaged in the 1755 earthquake, and the repairs were done using gothinc arches instead of the roman arches it... I just love coming to Obidos Village. It's a cute little town with lots of shops, cafe's and site seeing. It's not very big but the scenery is awesome.

Do try to visit this church when walking through Obidos. Interesting tiling, and pictures, but it's the overall impression of a quiet and beautiful church which stays with you.

Wonderful old church with beautiful ceramics, paintings, statues and most of all, with its amazing old organ. A must see .
