Belém's tower is one of Belem's highlights. I didn't get in (there was a huge line), but from the outside is very nice. You can see the high and low tide changing your view. At sunset, the light is really amazing and you can take some wonderful photographs.

Torre de Belem Garden is not quite a garden. It is an area just outside the Tower with grass and several trees. Apart from that there is not much else in this particular garden. This is just a small barren garden that is just in front of the Belem Tower that one can sit down and view the tower from. There is not too much in the park although they do have a tourist stand which didn’t really ha e much in there even we looked.

Did not enter the tower , however it was very picturesque from outside and I would defiantly recommend a visit since there are more attractions near by!

When in Lisbon, we always come down here. Starting at this little park, checking out the Torre and then heading along the water up to the Padrão dos Descobrimentos with the Ponte 25 De Abril views. This smaller park has lots of green lawns, trees and some food/drink stalls. Also mostly some music performers. Pets on a leash are allowed on the lawns, which was nice for our Bulldog. Right at this park you will also find the Monumento aos Combatentes do Ultramar, the Museu do Combatente and the impressive Monument Gago Coutinho e Sacadura Cabral. There's also a bigger restaurant on the site and a smaller coffee shop. Also public bathrooms (50 cents), in case you need one. It's a nice little park to spend a while. It's not big to walk in, but nice to get away from the busy streets of Lisbon. A bit of a problem is how to get here if you have a wheelchair, stroller etc. The two closest bridges and underpasses across the road and railroad both have stairs only and no elevator! You have to go quite a bit further to find an easy crossing from the other side with the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and all the other sights.…
