Tried to catch this place open several times since I am staying on the next street over on Travessa Dos Pascaderas, but have yet been successful. Instead, I got on their website and booked a tour of Sintra and Cascais which was wonderful with our guide Anna in an 8 passenger van. Found out from her that the main office is in the LX Factory in the Alcantara district so not sure this shop is always open anymore although I do see used surfboards there through the window. So I would call the number on the website for "We Hate Tourism Tours" before making a trip here and being disappointed if it's closed. Everyone in the office speaks English and they are all great and very helpful. …

Everything about this experience was fabulous; the food, the wine, and the conversation! We Hate Tourism provided us with the most welcoming experience amongst strangers and enlightened us about Portuguese history. THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD! Let's be clear, the folks at We Hate Tourism Tours have got something special going on in Lisbon. After booking a city intro tour, we had so much fun that we immediately followed up with a Sintra / Cascais trip and lunch with Tiago that same week. Genuine, fun, and absolutely knowledgeable about the amazing that is Portugal - we can't recommend them highly enough. Had a really lovely lunch with a fabulous host. We sat around drinking loads of wine and shooting the breeze on many subjects. All our dietary requirements were well met I highly recommend this as a fun way to spend a day
