We visited Portas Largas on a Tuesday night. At least the bar :-) And the place was packed. Amazing atmosphere, great live music and huge cocktails for a low price. And you'll need it because there will be a lot of dancing!

Visited twice during out stay in lisbon! Very busy and lively music bar, great for some cheap drinks and dance among the crowd! Fantastic band both times! Amazing energy!

We got here about 11pm on the Tuesday evening and the place was fairly quiet with the Band playing. But by 11:30, the bar was packed and there was a great buzz in the place. Cheap beer (€4 a pint) and they sell cocktails too. Try to get yourselves a small table and couple of stools if you can, though... More

Don't bother. Go next door and buy drinks for half the price then stand in the street and listen to the music. I'm not kidding - drinks are priced double. Even double of their own stand at the gay pride festival.

Had a drink or two in here on a Thursday night. The band were just starting and we were first in. Didn't take long for the place to become packed thanks to the great atmosphere, the live music and very friendly staff. Would recommend a visit here while in Bairro alto.

I've been here twice. The first time I met an old friend who I had no idea had moved to Portugal and on the second time we just enjoyed the mojitos and the band playing a set of cool reggae/afropop/funk things. One of those places that have a friendly vibe to them. Nice drinks too, very Bairro Alto but not... More
