About
CAMPO PEQUENO Campo Pequeno is one of the most iconic monuments of the city of Lisbon and of Portugal. Considered one the most important buildings of Neo-Arabic style in the country, it was designed by Architect José Dias da Silva and ranks among the most beautiful bullrings in the world, having opened its doors on the 18th of August 1892. The monument is classified as a building of Public Interest. The history of Campo Pequeno's Bullring crosses paths with the history of Tauromachy. The building underwent deep restoration works, between 2000 and 2006, under the responsibility of Architect José Bruschy, becoming a major and modern multi-purpose space, able to accommodate, besides bullfights, a vast array of other events. It was also complemented with a commercial galleria, cinemas, restaurants and parking area. Schedule: Shopping Centre: every day from 10am to 11pm. Closed on Christmas day and on New Year. Parking Area: open 24H.
Duration: 2-3 hours

Not worth visiting - the exterior is impressive and I'm sure as a concert venue it's incredible, but as a shopping center - dirty, dingy, nothing really there that you can't find in the city center.

Lovely architecture and many options for food (if you go after noon). At ten in the morning, everything was closed but it was fun to explore the building. So much rich history and easy access to the city from the subway.

As tourists we've travelled here for the buildjng and while it looks cool from the outside, that's all there's to it I suppose. The shopping centre underneath is like a labyrinth, but has a Scoop n Dough (vegan doughnuts) which was a nice surprise.

We were all quite surprised by the lovely architecture of this bull fighting ring outside the center of Lisbon. It is quite striking and big and dominates a pleasant neighborhood. We should come back for a fight.

This is a very beautiful and historic building, dating back to the 19th century... originally a bullfighting stadium, but that's no longer the case, fortunately!

Campo Pequeno is a bullfighting arena in Lisbon. It is located in Campo Pequeno Square, on Avenida da Republica. After a thorough modernization, the facility was reopened in 2006 as a venue for various cultural events and concerts in addition to bullfighting. Campo Pequeno has restaurants and an underground shopping center with parking. Campo Pequeno was built between 1890 and 1892 under the supervision of the Portuguese architect Antonio Jose Dias da Silva.
