We took our children here, there were lots of hands-on activities. It was very busy with school groups which did make it slightly more difficult to do some of the activities. Overall though very good and the staff were enthusiastic and helpful.

Good location in Parque Des Nacoes area, where are lots of see and do, from Oceanario to Telecabine(sightseeing Gondola Lift). Interactive two storey Science Museum, mainly for kids, but many things to get adults interesting too. Bike on a high wire, giant soap bubbles, "hurricane"...More

The Pavilion of Knowledge or Ciencia Viva is a great museum dedicated to the science and technology. This is another building constructed for the Expo 98 exhibition and it is especially interesting for children and students, because most of its exhibits are interactive and funny...More

Really thought provoking, interactive exhibits with hands on experiments (and all available in English). Multiple different exhibitions taking place. And the museum was an easy walk from the Metro.

Parque das Nacoes
This neighborhood was built up at the end of the 1990s
mostly because of the Expo '98. The pavilions and
structures that once were the home of all the Expo's
attractions and exhibits are still culturally and
artistically significant. In Parque das Nações you'll
explore conference and concert pavilions, a shopping
center, trendy restaurants and an enjoyable cable car
ride you can't miss out on. On top of this, the

My son is not yet three. Can he go into the construction area? Also, how much is the entry fee? Is it worth it for his age?

Yes he can. I think the entry fee was 3 euro for children but maybe at his age he might get in free of charge. There are 2 or 3 sections that he could use and enjoy it...i would say around 2 hours maybe more than that would... More
