We had a great time with our guide Peter. There were only 4 people total in our group. Peter was very knowledgeable about everything. We sampled some food and drink along the way. Peter made sure everyone was safe at all times and made learning to ride the Segway fun. Great tour - highly recommend.

Thank you so much to our tour guides Bjorn and Matt for taking us around Lisbon and teaching us about its history. This is a great way to see the city and is lots of fun, especially with friends. They will teach you how to ride the segways properly so this isn't a problem at all. Brilliant experience. Diolch yn... More

This was my first time on a Segway and it was so much fun!! My two friends and I had a private tour with our guide Simon. We spent the first few minutes learning how to use the segway and then we set off. We decided to go on the "Sailor Tour" as we wanted to ride along the water... More

Pedro was probably the best Segway guide we've ever had. He was energetic and informative. We stopped at a few places for the delicious tours. The food was tasty and the cherry liquor with chocolate was excellent. This was a great way to get up and down the hills of Alfama.

What a great way to experience Lisbon. Bjorn, our tour guide, spend plenty of time explaining how to use the segway. This allowed us time to get to grips with how to use it. We then hit the road. Our first stop was the main square in Lisbon, this square has plenty of room to have fun on the segway.... More

João M took us on the Belem Tour!! We cant recommend it enough, we had the most amazing time. Although the tour says 3h there was no time pressure at all, we had such a relaxing time stopping where we wanted to, chatting and having fun on the Segway. João M was very knowledgeable, he could tell us all about... More

I went in Lisbona last week and had this trip with my niece. We liked this amusing trip very much and it was interesting for the places we visited too.

This was a brilliant way to spend our last morning in Lisbon . The guide was excellent , so friendly and knowledgable and very clearly in love with his city . The steep hills of Lisbon on a Segway are not for the faint hearted ! The food stops were perfect and all the food and drinks were delicious .... More

We made a Segway tour of the Alfama with Björn. It was great to have a personalized tour on German in Lissabon. The places visited were real interesting and the historical explanations of our guide captivating. It's a great feeling, to "fly" on the pavement of the hilly old town on the segway and the stops were well choosen. We... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
