From treasures to absolute junk, and from antiques to cheap underwear, you can find anything and everything at the Feira da Ladra. This is a flea market where not just tourists go. The locals happily search for treasures there.

We visited this flea market in April 2017. It was quaint and exactly what European flea markets used to be like before. Lots of bric and brac and some good finds if you look carefully. The hand painted crockery stall was quite expensive (+_30 euros for a dish) The stand with the photographs of spots around Lisbon is a must-... More

As interesting as a flea market sounds, this was something I wasn't too enthralled about after visiting. I got to the flea market around 8.30am Saturday morning to see the vendors still setting up. Most of the things being sold here is what you'd find in your grandmother's attic. A bunch of old dolls, cassette tapes, random trinkets, posters, etc.... More

The Feira da Ladra was hailed by some articles on what to do in Lisbon as a very entertaining and interesting experience, and compared to some of the better flea markets in Europe. In reality it turned out to be a large collection of booths and small floor displays of more or less junk. At times it looked as if... More

I always look for vintage textiles, lace, vintage items like purses and clothes. Here you can find them if you dig. I found pashmina shawls for $1.00 ( needed one it was cold) vintage purses, bought a hat for the sun, if you travel on a budget, or need a few things for your trip and wish to leave them... More

I love this place here it is no only about vintage or about old things if you go inside and talk with the people there they will explain you a lot about the history. Portugal was a very rich country with a huge history this is amazing and this place is full of story's :-))

We got early because it was right up the street from use and I was impressed. It was not too touristy, but it was authentic with lots of junk and not too crowded. There were nice places to eat and sit and have coffee. There were not too many aggressive sellers and I felt safe all of the time. There... More

This market is on twice a week and was quite near our apartment - albeit uphill, as is most of Lisboa. It is much larger than any we have seen in several other European countries. Make sure you have good walking shoes as it covers a wide area that is on quite a slant. The goods are interesting - range... More

Staying in Graca & Sao Vicente

Neighbourhood Profile
Graca & Sao Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.
