This place was a nice visit but be prepared to walk up hill to get to it and then up loads of stairs when you are inside. It gets very busy and you do have great views of the whole city. Very windy up there....More

Went to the castle and it was lovely to walk around with great views. Bought 2 glasses of wine from a 'wine with a view ' van and sat in seats made in the stone wall relaxing and looking at the view. A great place...More

We enjoyed our visit to Castelo de Sao Jorge. Not only the castel itself is impresive but there are also nice views of Lisbon such as lovely areas to take a sit. Also make sure to see the small museum and Camera obscura presentation.

This is really worth it just for the views of Lisbon alone. The castle is well kept and certainly worth the visit. The walk up through the Alfama is part of the experience and is not to be missed, we made an entire day of...More

A nice castle and not too expensive (it helps I got student discount) however, I thought there might be a bit more information around the place on signs etc. They give you a little piece of paper with information on it, but I'm a fan...More

Without any guidance I was a little confused at first in Alfama - lots of winding, steep roads and a lack of certainty about where I was going. All of that changed once we reached the castle. What a view!!!! You can really appreciate the...More

The view from the Castle is breathtaking. Worth the hike up the hill. There are busses every 15 mins or so from the square at the bottom of the hill.

One could spend an entire afternoon here enjoying the shady trees, the expansive city views, and the stone walls. The old city area surrounding the castle is great for wandering on cobble stone streets with many cafes and gift shops.

Hi there you can buy them just up at the Castle. There was a queue but it didn't take long to get to the ticket office. Adult 8.50 Euro, there were family tickets but not sure the prices. Well worth the visit.
