Like going back in time you can feel the family's presence. The area is well looked after and not spoilt. We took the little train to the children's village and it was lovely.

The house is just as it was when the apparitions happened in 1917. The bed where Francisco died is in this house. I met Francisco`s and Jacinta`s niece, and she is right directly across the road and she will be more than happy to show...More

It is incredible to imagine the two came from such poor backgrounds and were so pious.Jacinta would even not eat the little she got to offer sacrifices to the less fortunate!She was among the less fortunate ones. Having to look after sheep and not play...More

I agree with the previous answers - you can do it, but drive carefully - it's narrow and there are always many people walking in the roads!

It's a lovely location and it's very popular. You can take a tour, or walk there, or take the little train. Well worth doing, whatever method of travel you choose!

Yes, if your physically fit it is possible to walk. There is a small train available, which takes you all around the area. Hope this is of help.
