This museum was a nice exhibit explaining the story of Fatima. It is a public museum, not a religious site. The wax figures and scenery are very realisitic and a good depiction of the story. The museum has about 30 scenes and although the plates with the explaination are in Portuguese, you can get a pamphlet where it explains each scene in English You can read what is happening in each scene and take time to look at all of the details. I would think this is a good activities for families.

Just a museum where you can see the life of Christ represented. Very simple, if you have no time you will not miss anything important in Fatima. Its not a must. More historic if you see the places where all things happened in Fatima, house of Lucia, Francisco, Jacinta, the place where they played and so on. These are real places you will never forget.

One might think why should pay 7,5€ to visit this 31 scenario wax museum.

But if you are not very acquainted with the story of the Fatima (even if you are!) this can take you to a time machine to a place and period of a very small and poor place in a lost village where Our Lady choose three small children to transmit the world an important message.

Either you are a true believer or not, this visit will allow to fully understand what Fatima is all about.

This museum might be a good idea for children or curious non-believers to understand the events of Fatima in 1917. For adults who know the story, it is unnecessary. It simply depicts the most important events via wax figures in appropriate and well designed settings. Good rainy day activity but not a must-see.

This is a wax museum that tells the entire story of the Fatima children and all of the sightings and predictions, in a sequential manner. It is told in English as well as Portuguese, with the literature. I found this very enjoyable, as the day was overcast and rainy, even as an adult. The figure of Pope Francis was amazingly accurate. Recommended.

its very interesting, im not really into religious things, and my initial reaction when my grandparents said we were going to the museum was how boring it was going to be, for my surprise, it was a pleasant surprise, you have an interesting and detailed story of the past, some of the figures are really well made,i woulnd say this is a must see. But its interesting and something different to do.

We noticed the place by chance because it is located by one the main and busy streets full of miscellaneous advertisements. Fortunately, we visited it and we didn't regret. The story of the Fatima Revelations. The depicted scenes are really well made. It is a place you need to visit while being in Fatima.

Although most people know the story, but the museum presents the events well. The figures of the children are well done and the presentation is excellent especially the vision of Hell. As far as attractions, this is not the best, but a nice way to break up the day as you walk the streets of Fatima

The Museu de Cera is a great way to learn the story of the apparitions of the three shepherd children in Fátima. There isn't anything fancy about the museum, nor even of the scenes created of the children, but it does serve as a visual aid to understand the history of this pilgrimage area.
