We played 18 holes at Oitavos Dunes in July 2018. I am not going to nitpick, but rather focus on what I found enjoyable about the experience and what I found to be lackluster. Pros: - The views and scenery are stunning. It was one...More

The Club house was beautiful and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I thought the course was very nice and challenging without being unfair or just too punishing. It can play very long off the back tees, but this is why it hosts pro events....More

This course had been described to us as the number one course to play in the Lisbon area, sadly this was not the case and the six of us are left disappointed. From arrival, when finding the clubhouse bar/restaurant closed and the 58€ buggy charge,...More

We had a great round of golf on Oitavos. The course is very nice, levering the natural dunes. Good layout with bunkers etc forces some thinking, and not always just bringing your driver to the tee. Fairways and greens in very good condition. Not very...More

Good course, but far from great. Once you are there, prepared to be fleeced like nowhere else. We played 9 different courses and this one was unbelievably more expensive once you are there. I'm including Quinta da Lago, Vilamoura Old etc in the list!!! Huge...More

Dear Sir/Madam, Many thanks for your comments and for sharing them with us. We will definitely have them into account on our daily efforts to get better. Regarding buggies take notice that: 1. Our buggy rental price is 58€, which is unapologetically higher than in...More

If with in 100km of this course play it, go out of your way to play it. Old world links type golf course with trees, sandy fairways and rolling greens with lots of pace. Lovely par threes where a well hit iron will get you...More

Played 4 times at Oitavos Dunes. There are some nice and interesting holes (hole 11 and 15 for example) but for the most part brutally boring and non memorable holes (holes 5, 13, 17). Views of atlantic are nice but the course has no toilets...More

Course is nice, view from some holes is nice but the price is a bad joke! Totally not worthy. Next very unusual experience was restaurant. We played till five o'clock and wanted to have a meal after the game. But what a surprise, the kitchen...More

Golf is great but our visit was tainted by an incident in restaurant at lunch. Most meals are 15-20 euros so not heap to start with. Then waiter offers us the fish special, we assume it'll be roughly same cost as other fish dishes (around...More

Price is never a guarantee of quality - and Oitavos Dunes sits comfortably in that bracket. Before you get onto the course you get your pockets picked - 70 Euros (yes I can confirm 70 Euros) for a buggy - at least Dick Turpin wore...More
