We were here towards the end of October. And while the sun shone, there was a severe gale blowing and it certainly was anything but beach weather. BUT, that didn't deprive us of absorbing in the setting, which is beautiful. Just a bit too commercialised...More

Another really lovely beach in Cascais! This beach isn’t huge but there was still room even with the crowds all the way in October. The weather was great beach weather!! It was 80 degrees out and sunny. The water is FREEZING though! The view of...More

Not a lot of sand but certainly enough to cope with October crowds without a problem. The waves than make it to shore here have lost their strength and that makes it safe to swim at. There is a large marina an old fortress and...More

Praia da Ribeira is a nice scenic beach located in the center of Cascais. It's small and adds to the ambiance but I suggest going to Guincho Beach about 9 km out of town for swimming and waves.

Sewer networks drop nearby so you should consider swimming there. The town hall services do a poor job maintaining the area clean.

Local come here as it is close to Lisbon, making day trips possible. Its not as nice as Caribbean beaches, but it is very convenient and close to amenities and restaurants of the town, which itself is quite quaint.

Cascais is like a place we have in Puerto Rico called Condado. Beautiful beach near the stores, restaurants and bars. Nice place to relax in a sunny day with something cold to drink.

Facing the central square of Cascais, 5th of October Square, this small beach is located. Only 5 minutes from the train station. Can imagine it being really crowded in high season. Lovely sand and great views of the fishing boats in the harbour. We found...More

This beach is in the center of cascais and there is no much activity for you to see while either sitting there or laying on the beach or a tan. It takes you back in time just to see that people are not so rushed...More
