The market is held on a Wednesday its more than a fish market, veg fruit clothes. The produce is so fresh, its all undercover. Beside the market there is a series of little eateries, and you can sit out in the open.It is well worth visiting.

The fish market in Cascais is excellent and makes you wish you was self catering rather than staying in a hotel. Numerous counters all with fresh produce and variety of fish and shellfish. It 8s an art the way the fish wives got and fillet them.

If you like markets, the public market (Feira) in Cascais is worth a visit - best on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Within the main market building you will find the seafood section, where you will find an impressive array of all kinds of fresh fish and shell fish. Seafood is a big part of the Portuguese diet, and that will be obvious when you visit this market. Unfortunately, the rising demand for sea food, and the diminishing supply has led to increased prices. Already the sea food section of this public market is smaller than it was ten years ago. Visiting this market will provide a view of an old way of life that is slowly disappearing.

It is easy to find the location. On the ground floor,a bit backward .
Now you can enjoy the alternatives🦐🐠🦞🦑
Reasonable prices&kind people.(no English speaking but ready to any help)
You can visit the florist in the same place.
If you don’t want to cook ;just pick up one of the fish restaurants on the 1st floor

Great selection of fish. Also next door to Fruit and Veg market for a great selection of fruit & veg. recommended if self catering. Open area of food and drink stalls make for a pleasant - and cheap - place for lunch.

The fishing village of Cascais ( cash Ki ish) is very pretty. It has many expensive homes that are beautiful and the gardens are well kept as well. The coast line is windy but beautiful.

Good variety of fresh fish and fruit available.
Also flowers. When in Cascais, it is a good place to visit. There are great restaurants in the vicinity of the market.

I know it's only open on Wednesday and Sunday. What is the opening and closing time ? and is it close to the Cascais train station?

Hi. Is this Fish Market part of the Mercado de Cascais (Google Map reference 38.702125, -9.421344)? Or is it somewhere else in Cascais? Thanks in advance!
