We walked through the Botanical Garden and enjoyed the plants and birds. We stopped in the cafe for a snack and were lucky to avoid a downpour. The older building with trimmed hedges is really cool - it would be great if it were restored...More

This garden is an excellent place to relax and to get away from the crowds at Belem's main attractions. It's a great place for a picnic and on a hot day there is plenty of shade to be had. There is a small cafe on...More

After the queues and the crowds of the Monastery, it was lovely to have a peaceful wander around these gardens. Yes, some areas are rather run down and the pond water could be cleaner but there are still several beautiful areas to explore here and,...More

From all over the world are the trees in this garden. Unfortunately the green houses are really run down but its a lovely stroll in a lovely area and you can still feel other more grandiose days.

It looks like it is run down also because of the inexpensive entrance I guess, but walking around an abandoned Japanese garden and a nicely kept French gardens had it's charm. There are peacocks, ducks, other birds all around, it's pretty if you want to...More
