We walk across this bridge every day to go from the Santa Clara side to go into town. Santa Clara side has great views of the University and houses climbing the hills. It takes about 15 minutes slow walking from the bridge to the square at Santa Cruz Church in town. If you are here at New Years the area... More

A great place to get a photo postcard of Coimbra, too bad the bars and restaurants at the park are currently closed.

I remember when this was built The Guardian newspaper in the UK wrote an amazing review of its architectural wonder. Personally I thought it nothing special.

This is a pedestrian-only bridge that connects both sides of Parque Verde do Mondego. There are colored panels that line the bridge and when the sun hits them, a kaleidoscope of colors reflects onto the bridge walkway. Great for a late day stroll when the sun is setting.

The railing is illuminated at night, which makes it nice to walk over, the colors really stand out and it's only for pedestrians

It's a nice bridge, but don't expect to something very spectacular. The view of the city is really interesting. The name comes from the town legen of Pedro and Ines

Is just a bridge. While the name is iconic, there is nothing special about it. Probably the most interesting thing is the view on the city. Otherwise, can't think of a motive to visit.

Lovely visit to Coimbra where we crossed this pedestrian bridge into Santa Clara. At the midway point, there is a wider area where you can stop and take photos of the city.
