The old station had been restored and is a beautiful building and well worth a visit . The new station is pretty clean . But has the most rude and unfriendly staff you will ever find .

Arrived here from Porto. Train was clean, on time. Exit from station quick, as was return. No issues whatsoever. Recommended.

Beautifully restored train station that is actually beside the real train station that is currently in use. Its worth stopping to take a look on your way to or from Porto!

The train station’s azulejos have been painstakingly restored and the building radiates, especially when the sun is out. The azulejos themselves are beautiful and tell some of the history of Aveiro. As far as I could tell, you cannot enter the building. The functioning train station is a modern structure and quite a stark contrast. A bit outside the center, I paid 3.90 euros for the ride.

This is a lovely station, well decorated, and easy to navigate. What I like about Portuguese railways, is when they modernize a station, they keep the original station in situ , and move the platforms along, to build the new station.

Staff at the ticket counter was very helpful and friendly. We were able to buy tickets easily and quickly. It isn't clean, is run down.

We were staying for a week in Porto but it was always our intention to visit a couple of other towns while in the area. We decided upon Guimaraes and Aveiro, particularly because of the ease in getting to them by the efficient and inexpensive rail network radiating out from Porto. I think that the train to Aveiro took about an hour and it was great to look out of the window and see the countryside.

On arriving in Aveiro and leaving the train the first building we came across was the utterly beautiful old railway station building adorned in many places with blue and white tiles forming pictues of the area and life there in past days.

It is surely well worth visiting Aveiro just to see this building.

Full of story! Even though it had a reconstruction, the old train station of Aveiro was still beautiful and a MUST to visit.

The old tiles are amazing. If you arrive by rail you can't miss this. One front is clearly visible from the train, but the best tiles can be seen from the street.
