I was glad that there weren't many tourists because it would have been less interesting. The boats could be crammed in but the ride and information was interesting.

Be careful with the different price & time offer, we are 5 of us. they “ highly recommend “ us the 17€ pack : for 45 minutes boat + 30 minutes tuk tuk + tiny sweet ( worth 0.6€ ) instead of the standard 15€ for 30 minutes boat + 30 minutes ones, we thought 16 minutes more in boat could be lovely. In the end they put us the same boat of every other standard offer ones . Plus the guide is speaking horrible Spanish / English. Not worth it. Go for the green ones !

I booked a combination tuk tuk and canal cruise for the reasonable price of 18 euros. The young man supplying the muscle power on the tuk tuk zipped around town with no difficulties, enthusiastically pointing out the local sights. After a thorough tour of roughly 40 minutes, I was off on the canal tour, which was a very enjoyable and leisurely 45 minutes touring the city's canals and admiring the sights. I highly recommend Viva a Ria for an enjoyable tour at an excellent price.

This is one of the rare things to do in Aveiro,a trip on the canals. It is ok, not more than that. It takes about 40 minutes and that's it for the rest of the day! There is also a religious museum to see. So, one day is more than enough to see it all in Aveiro!

A lovely way to see Aveiro, a canal cruise is a must if you are in the city. The boats are comfortable and our guide spoke English and Spanish as well as Portuguese. I learned a lot but also enjoyed the beauty of what I saw like the fisherman's area, the lock, the central canal and some of the beautiful building and bridges you pass. I asked a few operators and all were consistent in their €13 price for adults and that the cruise lasts 45 minutes.
