Aveiro is a small but cozy and beautiful town with a peculiar historical center because it was a fishermen place near the famous Ria de Aveiro. Carmo church is a typical portuguese monument, with a big patio before the chuch entrance. The inside in rich as the catholic portuguese churches always are, with saints and other religious figures. You can visit it as well as all the rest of the city walking.

Igreja do Convento do Carmo em Aveiro You can find this church in the “Rua do Carmo, 16”, pay attention because when you do not look to your right you can easily pass by this church. The church dates from 1628, and this is what is resting from the Cistenser Convent do Carmo. Simple on the out-side as well as the inside, but anyhow a nice place to visit when you are walking in the city.
