Need to do some stairs, but what a neat experience. It is drippy and wet, so bring a plastic for your head. Only 6 euros entrance fee.

You have to visit this place. For 6 euros (9 if you want to visit christmas grote) you can enter a volcano... Amazing. Catch some nice pics.

Never before experienced anything like this. Unique opportunity. Take advantage while you are there. Take a look at Trilhas photos for some good ideas.

A beautiful, natural site to see while in terceira. There are lots of steps but definitely worth it!

This is one of two hollow volcanoes in the world that can be visited, so do it if you get the opportunity. It’s not a cave, which makes it a unique underground experience. It only takes 30-45 minutes but worth the drive

Only 1 of 3 volcanoes that you can get to in the world! The steps in/out weren’t that bad....there are hand rails and lighting throughout but a hiking stick was very helpful. Great to experience it!

Secret place where you discover the magic of the island. I would were trainers and a raincoat for the humidity and drops.

I believe it's open all year round. We were there in January. It is only open in the afternoon. Enjoy your trip. I love the Azores!
