Went here in May 2018. It was awesome being in a natural hot tub when the surrounding ocean water was in the low-mid 60's F. I would recommend wearing water shoes that you can beat up. It does get crowded. The spots in the back...More

This is a very nice, secluded area, on the west side of the island. We didn’t go for a swim here, but we did enjoy a beautiful sunset here.

Very beautiful area. Water is refreshing and cool. There are a lot of rocks and formation, so you do have to be careful while you are walking around.

This is a very nice, unique natural place with a hot spring in the ocean. As you can read elsewhere, timing really is crucial if you want to feel the warm water. We came just between high and low tide and it was possible to...More

Really good signposting and down a steep road a good car park. Take your swim gear with you down the path next to the volcanic ash and cliffs to a gap in the rocks with steps down and ropes to hang onto when you get...More

This was a really fun side trip that we did because it was raining. I have never experienced hot springs like this. You sit in the ocean and the hot water comes into this cove. It’s such fun with the waves and they have ropes...More

We arrived a little after low tide so by the time we left it was starting to get rough. Nice that there are changing rooms and that it’s free to visit.

The setting is absolutely beautiful. It's a bit difficult to find without GPS, but as long as you drive down you'll eventually get there. There is a small parking lot before you drive all the way down the curvy road to the main parking lot....More

We stopped off on our way down from Sete Cidades and were so pleased we did. The ocean pool is amazing, like stepping into a jacuzzi. We recommend going when the tide is low as the water does get deep. There are however ropes to...More

It is refreshing to find attractions with free car parking and free entry, especially when lifeguards are on duty! Not surprisingly the pool gets very busy at low tide when the water is the warmest but is still enjoyable and ropes are attached across the...More

I had the same question! There is a great (and free) app that anyone coming to the Azores should download on their phone. It's called "Spot Azores" and it has a live webcam feed for many of the major attractions on the... More
