This is not really a tourist attraction but for those going to Açores by boat after crossing the Atlantic this is a great spot to stop at. Other marinas at other islands aren't all capable of receiving 40+ feet boats and strangely seem built for...More

This marina is home to a number of whale watching and dive operations, big game fishing, ferries etc as well as being a busy marina. It's well served by bars and restaurants. Check out the hundreds of mementos of boats painted on the harbour walls.

This marina seems to be the epicenter of Horta. A great place to get a quick bite to eat (Peter's Pub seems to operate all of the outdoor drinking spots) the people watching is also great here.

It is very nice to see how many crews left a paint as a "footprint" of their transit in thsi strategic Harbour crossing the Ocean. You can spend hours seeine thousand of paintings!
