Great location on top of the hill near the harbour and close to the fortress. Easy to get there either walking, taxi or public transportation.

At the top end of Lagos, over looking the ocean, it was worth the walk as yo great great views of the Marina and coastline.

Its a Statue by the side of the main road. What else is there to say. Its a nice statue, probably of someone of historical significance, but to a tourist just interesting.

Breath taking view of the beach below with the statue of Sao Goncalo overlooking. There is no shade, so don't expect to hang out long on a hot day. But it's got a great view and plenty of room to sit. I stopped here on...More

Sao Goncalo was a saint of the Saint Augustine Order (1377-1422) who were traditionally friars who traveled around the world as Christian missionaries and were often persecuted.

The statue itself is only a statue, esp. when you have no idea about who he/she is. But this one lies on a beautiful coast, and you can have a perfect panoramic view there. Come to the beach to enjoy sunlight, and stand next to...More

Once you will see this Statue of Sao Goncalo, you will be very close to beautiful beaches all around, so enjoy it and continue until you will find them.

A statue along the front. A great view from here and a photo opportunity down to the beach - don't suppose many visitors know what or who this is a statue of.
