Great value only costing €1.50 for the downstairs area of the museum which included plenty of information for a brief introduction into local culture and ways of life from agriculture and technology. The museum is relatively small taking approx. 1 hour to explore all areas, but exhibits range from art pieces based on curses, rooms in the home with extremely canny mannequins representing people in the era with textile production.

The downside of the museum is that around half of the information cards are only in Portuguese thus couldn’t understand the context behind some exhibits as a non-Portuguese speaker.

A small museum with exhibits of local crafts from the Algarve and also some paintings.

It's OK but quite old fashioned in its approach as a museum...nothing interactive or designed to engage childrens interest etc

Only a small 1.50 entry fee, but if you fill an hour in here you are doing very well.

Whenever we travel we like to get to know the place and its customs.
This Algarve Regional Museum is a small sample of the uses and customs of this beautiful region of Portugal.
Located in the center of Faro and for a modest amount you can contemplate recreations of places in the Algarve.
Curious and recommended, the visit does not even last 45 minutes.

This museum is full of artefacts and implements, which were used by the locals in the past to earn their living. It also has little rooms, re-created from the past, interiors of cottages and shops, et cetera. All beautifully displayed and explained. Very interesting! Well worth a visit.

A quaint little museum showing life in Faro over the years, you wont find any VR headsets and flashing displays just old fashioned mannequins and equipment from back in the day and in the surroundings it fits perfectly.

I've no idea how much it cost as the person on the entry had no change so just let us in.

A nice quiet way to spend an hour or so.

This museum gives an excellent insight into the everyday life of past local communities. Exhibits are very well displayed, but some information is only in Portuguese.
Although small, we spent quite a long time here.

We wiled away the better part of an hour looking at all the lovely exhibits and photos. Really felt as though we were getting a glimpse into old Algarve and the lives of its people. Recommended

Located in the old part of the new town and so close to the Old Town, this museum concentrating on past metiers of the Algarve region, including the importance of water, should not be missed. There are reconstructed furnished rooms of houses too.

Very kindly woman at the front but very minimal to see. About half of the exhibits don’t have English translations so hope you can use your Google translate app! Glad entrance free is only a teeny €1.50.
