I'm not a beach person and haven't lain the sand for a few years, but this beach did look quite inviting. However, I visited in June and there were very few tourists in the town, so the beach was all but empty. What it is like at the height of the season in a normal year, I cannot say. There are numerous cafés and restaurants around and it is near the town centre.…

We were only. 10 minute walk away from this beach, so visited often. Not busy in February, but still a beautiful beach to go to and relax. A must visit if in the area!

Stayed in the Clube Praia Da Oura in February 2020. Lucky with the weather as it was unbroken sunshine with very warm sunshine. Really glad we chose the area as there was a good mix of shops, restaurants and bars and it was fairly quiet (although almost certainly much busier in summer) The beach was great, with a lot of good sand, and some pleasant rocky coves at the eastern end of the main beach. Swimming would probably be tricky for all but the strongest swimmers as there are frequent strong waves and a heavy current and undertow, with a number of rocks beneath the waves in places which might catch the unwary. Some good cafes and restaurants right on the seafront, especially the Beach Caffe at the east beyond the rocks and Borda da Agua at the west of the main beach…
