Amazing View over the city! It is a fascinating church with attached meanings and medieval legends... Amazing!

It is considered a monument of Romanesque-Gothic style, or of a Nacional Gothic style with Cistercian and mendicant influence. It reveals a great importance, not only as the final point of Romanesque and the initial of Gothic. The façade its made of rose coloured granite,...More

Fascinating church with good routing through cloisters, main chapel and rooftop. Keep a hold of kids on the rooftop!

A great deal to see and experience at the cathedral. From the cathedral itself to the cloisters to the tower a great taste of history. Many similarities to the cathedral in Girona Spain and you can't help think of the book Pillars of the Earth...More

The Cathedral is worth a visit while in Évora. The unmarked spiral staircase up from the Cloisters felt like a secret discovery.

The church and the surrounding areas are interesting to visit. Husband and son climbed to the top of the tower as well. Nice to do. However if you have to choose, I would suggest visiting the church with the skulls instead.

This cathedral is only 3.5 euros for the visit including tower, cloisters and main chapel. Don’t try this if you are claustrophobic though because there were some teeny spiral staircases to navigate. But it is so lovely. And has incredible turrets, crenellations and textures on...More

Apparently its the largest medieval cathedral in Portugal even bigger then the one in Lisbon. From the tower you will see beautiful 360 degree views of Evora. I would say this is a must when within the beautiful walled city. The cathedral and the views...More
